Hello and many thanks for your excellent tutorials! I followed your schematics on how to incorporate iPad in my DAW (Cubase 6 on PC btw). At first I missunderstood the connection from iPad2/CCK to the USB hub. I thought it was only to connect CCK to the hub I already connected to my PC with a USB male A in both ends... No luck and now I understand why *blushing*. When I found out that I needed a "dedicated" USB hub I simply followed your schematics above. I now has a "ghetto" version of the IO Dock with MIDI in/out and audio via Behringer UAC-222! Thanks! /Bo

Fantastic write up! I only have one question, does the iPad 2 + CCK (+Powered hub) support any USB audio interface? I have a NI Audio Kontrol 1 that I'd love to hook up to an iPad 2 when I get one. It has a quality DAC, 2 pairs of stereo outs, headphone out and stereo inputs. I'd like to use my iPad both for recording AND high quality audio playback

Thanks Will, I hadn't heard of the iRig MIDI. It looks like a pretty solid device. My only concern is being able to get the digital audio out like I described while using the iRig. I'm hoping that the USB charge cable would also work plugged into a DAC.

Hey Zach, you're right about the MIDI Mobilizer, but what about the iRig MIDI instead? It's Core MIDI and it has USB power too. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/irigmidi It comes with a free version of SampleTank for the iPhone too. http://itunes.apple.com/app/sampletank-free/id464775965?mt=8

It should work - you'll just change the FLAC_SOURCE_DIR variable (along with the other variables). However the script will output the mp3s flat in a directory. I actually remade this script in python that's more streamlined (and will also copy the directory structure) that I can post as well. I just need to clean up a few things in it.

Exceelne twork, could be just what I am looking for. I have an extensive flac collection that I currently stream to my android handset via subsonic and around the house with xbmc. My wife now wants to put it on her ipod :-(
My current directory structure is /flac_dir/artist/album/musicfile.flac will this script work with this set up and will it also retain the directory structure in the target directory (ie /mp3_dir/artist/a;bum/musicfile.mp3)??
Thanks

Very cool. Thank you for posting this. As a side note, I had to actually restart the Amazon Cloud Player fluid app before the Growl notifications would work; just reloading the user script was not enough.

Awesome, worked like a charm. It's almost a nicer and more lightweight mp3 player than iTunes.

Thank you very much! I run flash tracer all day along side my install of Flex. Those outputs drive me insane all of the time, I usually have a little dance that I do where I pause the output while working within the IDE and then clearing and unpausing flashtracer. THIS is a great find and a fantastic, though simple fix.

Thank you very much :)
